Hazards Requiring Immediate Attention
Immediately phone the responsible Council
OR
Call the RTA on 131 700 if the hazard is on a state or national highway, freeway or motorway in NSW

How Does Report a Hazard Work?

Simply complete the information requested in the appropriate hazard report. The report will be automatically forwarded to the relevant road authority for inspection and you will receive an acknowledgement email message, which contains a reference number for further enquiries.

Each council has different methods of managing maintenance requests but all reports will be investigated by the appropriate officer and then be placed in a priority order for action as funding becomes available.

Information from this site will be assessed once per day during weekdays.

Traffic and Roadwork Information
The RTA's Transport Management Centre (TMC) provides information about delays caused by crashes, events or roadworks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for state and regional roads.

Animals and Wildlife on the Road

If a collision with wildlife or an animal occurs please phone WIRES or your local council. A dead animal will need to be removed from the roadside to prevent further accidents and an injured animal may have a chance of surviving if it receives early attention.

Do not leave an injured animal to suffer without notifying WIRES or local wildlife carers. Call WIRES on 1800 641 188.

Animals such as horses, cows or household pets on the road or roadside can cause crashes. Call your local Council Ranger to report the problem immediately. See the Contacts page for Council contact details.
