Police regularly identify and report potential crash hazards to the local council as part of their duties but in the NSW Upper Hume region this activity has been formalised with a Memorandum of Understanding.

Understanding the causes of road trauma is a key component in reducing the likelihood of repeat incidents at the same or other locations on our road network. This understanding, together with appropriate actions, can have a real and positive impact on reducing the future cost to our community of road trauma.
